TheĀ Urban Big Data CentreĀ (UBDC), in collaboration with the Centre for Research & Development in Lifelong Learning (CRADALL) at the University of Glasgow, will host a seminar with Prof. Margaret Robertson, La Trobe University, whose longstanding research includes youth studies and cross-cultural differences.
In her talk, 'The pop-up reality for youth on the urban fringe: Their spaces; their times, and their futures', Prof. Roberston will discuss her research on the lives of young people (aged 13 - 15 years) in outer metropolitan Melbourne, Australia, whose wellbeing is shaped by the ever expanding new housing estates along the peri-urban corridors. This research relates to housing affordability, schooling, health, access to recreation spaces, and transport.
