As Business and Communications Officer Rhiannon leads the Centre’s outreach and communication activities and supports business operations and partnerships.

Rhiannon came to UBDC in 2016 with twelve years experience in developing content, managing websites, social media channels and digital projects - in agency and in-house positions. She started her career working at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in a role encompassing conference production, marketing, communications and project management before transferring her skills to a digital agency role. Following this she was responsible for utilising digital communications channels to grow support for a charity - Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) - and its campaigns among the general public, media, politicians, branches and membership.

Rhiannon is also a writer and photographer and graduated from Cardiff University with a BA degree in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting.

Rhiannon is passionate about working in big data and is determined to place the Urban Big Data Centre on a local, national and global scale using her experience in outreach and communications. She is excited by the opportunities big data creates and is eager to speak with anyone interested in working with the Centre.
