Dr. Luning Li joined the Urban Big Data Centre (UBDC) in May 2024 as a Research Associate in Urban Analytics.

She holds a PhD and an MA in Cartology and Geographical Information Systems (GIS)/Natural Resources from Beijing Normal University, and a BS in GIS with a minor in Applied Psychology from East China Normal University.

During her doctoral research, she utilized Wi-Fi data to track large-scale tourist activities, involving over 3,000,000 individuals, in a tourism-oriented urban community. Prior to joining UBDC, she was a Research Associate in Quantitative Human Geography at the University of Bristol.
