Partnerships
Sharing your data in partnership with UBDC can reveal and validate its value as a key source of evidence for policy development or as a means of generating economic impact.
We currently have close partnerships with Glasgow City Council, Huq, Adzuna, Zoopla, GALLANT, and North Lanarkshire Council. With regular contact, we are able to maintain and develop our relationships so that our academic research is of mutual benefit to the data owners and wider society.
If you are interested in collaborating with UBDC please contact our Information Services Officer at:

Strategic Partners
Proud partners with the University of Glasgow
Based at Lilybank Gardens on the University of Glasgow’s vibrant West End campus, and proudly part-funded by the University, UBDC welcomes students, researchers and academics from all over the world to share our data research, resources and expertise. Offering a wide range of training courses, UBDC also delivers University of Glasgow Masters and PhD programmes in Urban Analytics and Urban Transport.
Local authorities deliver a myriad of services and, because of cuts in recent years and budget constraints, we have to focus very carefully on where best to place our resources.
Using big data effectively and efficiently, in collaboration with data scientists at UBDC, is absolutely critical to this process in support of the council and city transformation.
Kimberley Hose, Head of Business Intelligence, Glasgow City Council
This research will help move forward our understanding of how social care is currently delivered and assist us in improving the design and delivery of our services.
Working with the UBDC has been a valuable experience and a good example of academia and Local Government sharing resources and expertise.
We'll look for opportunities to work with them again in the future.
Danny McAllion, Data Analytics and Research Manager, Renfrewshire Council
