Steven Kendrick
Steven joined the Urban Big Data Centre in October 2019. As UBDC Centre Manager, Steven’s role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including the overall management of the Centre’s administrative, events, and communications team. As a member of the UBDC Senior Leadership Group, Steven also contributes to the effective delivery of the Centre’s strategic objectives as well as to Centre governance, risk-management, and stakeholder engagement. Steven is also responsible for managing the Centre’s budgets and resources.
Steven has over 15 years of experience working in research management, and other professional roles in Higher Education. Before joining UBDC he spent 8 years managing the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA), a Scottish Funding Council research pool comprising 14 Scottish HE institutions.
Steven has a BA Honours Degree from the University of the West of England, and possesses further qualifications in Marketing & Communications and Project Management. He is passionate about working to support Higher Education research, and he has a keen interest in how data can be used to create a healthier, happier, and more equal society.
